Apam Balik Malaysia, ban jing kueh 慢煎糕

My favourite food is 'Apam Balik'! (although very fattening~ @_@")

Apam Balik also knows as 'Apom Balik', is one of Malay Nusantara traditional cakes. In chinese people name it as 'ban jing kueh'。 It is a thick cake coated with butter layer and contains peanuts and sweet corn that folded into two.
'Apam Balik' 亦被称为 'Apom Balik'，是一种印度尼西亚的传统美食。华人统称'ban jing kueh' 或是‘慢煎糕’。它是涂有牛油外层的糕，内含有花生及绞碎的玉米。

To be more detail, it starts with mixture of flour, soda water, baking powder, yeast. The 'apam balik' usually baked using a frying pan shown below where butter, sugar, peanuts and sweet corns are sprinkled in before removed from the pan.
基本上它是由面粉，苏打水，发粉和酵母组合而成。慢煎糕是在不粘键盘下，然后添牛油再撒上糖、花生及绞碎的玉米自制而成。

There are actually 2 types of 'apam balik':
其实有两种慢煎糕：

i) Traditional Apam Balik 传统慢煎糕
ii) Crispy Apam Balik. 香脆慢煎糕

Love to eat fish so much.
很喜欢吃鱼

No matter it is cooked by steaming, deep frying, I also love to eat.
不管是蒸鱼、煎鱼、炸鱼、煮鱼、我都一样喜欢吃。

Wow, got fish to eat, cant describe how happy am I.
哇，又有鱼吃，真开心! (不需要鱼翅都那么开心了!)

Finished in second!
一下子把它扫得一干二净，只留下‘渣’。。。哈哈！

But i dun like eat salted fish, because I dislike the salted food, prefer the sweat one... haha..
但我不喜欢吃咸鱼，因为我不喜欢咸的食物，甜的就喜欢。。呵呵~~

Nutrition Module

Today module is basically about nutrients, weight management and eating right and healthily

As usual - today module is sponsored by GNC - which stand for General Nutrient Centre.

A few topic covered was what to eat, what not to eat, how much to eat and what how much to skip and why cant i be thin even though i exercise daily?

1 interesting question raised was: does a man drink a lot of soya bean a lot make him 'shoot less' ? Answer in next update.

Goodies include a shoe bag and a pen, but wait, this is not a normal pen.

This is an entendable pen !! interesting??

Whats inside was a pill box - Rm 10.90, a Vitamin C - Price n/a, and a energy drink - Rm 8

The best part ? Its us for free !

Just too bad i cant win the lucky draw with even more attractive price.

Next module - Transporter training, ops !

I mean defensive driving. Cap and tshirt have been given. Lets wait for Nissan to teach how to 'piu yee'

Refine & Define Tentative Schedule

This will be my tentative schedule for the rest of the 6 to 7 months - mostly are confirm. The photo shooting is over. It was great. The pics will be publish in March issue, so I guess that whatever we did in that month, get published 2 months later. For eg Fitness done in Feb publish in Apr, and March module will publish in May. Finally on the Nov/Dec month they will start to look for 2010 contestants!

开NANGKA的日记。Nangka (Jackfruit), My fear.

Has been waiting for this moment since last weekend. The nangka eventually ripe. 怎么知道熟了呢？只要嗅到菠萝蜜发出阵阵的芬芳的就可以开刀咯~ 哈哈！

Preparing... 希望可以装得满满的！ 哈哈~

Coat the knife with cooking oil will make it easier to be cleaned after used.

Here we go~ 美梦就要开始啦，自我安慰嘛。。。

Yeeerrr.. This is why i dun like Nangka. 黏黏的。。感觉很不爽！

一刀两半！你一半，我一半，感情永远不会散~~ 哈哈。。。

Next, clear off the Nangka stem.

Follow by the Nangka crust ... it is all very sticky, named 'sap'.. yeerrr.. T_T 我不入地狱，谁入地狱？

Dig dig dig.. 寻宝行动！

Do you know the crust of fruit, or even the saki baki of fruit/vege is very useful? Please dun just simply throw it away...

Throw is into a bin, but not a dustbin..haha! People named this process as 'compost'. 华语应该是所谓的‘堆肥’。

After few weeks, all this will be 'digested' by microorganism and and can be used as free natural fertiliser. 这些肥料即天然又免费，丢掉不用可真是一种浪费天然资源呢！

This planet need more people like me to save the world... :p

Aaahha! Here usis the trick--- use fire! 这可是家传秘方哦。。嘻嘻！ (Can you see the stomach size at right?.. @_@")

Once you see the bubble is appearing... 赶快~~~

Take a piece of papper and wipe off all the sap... Careful, its hot! 真的很烫手哦！

You can put on some cleaning agent..

You will find it easier to wash it off. However, you may need to repeat the burning and cleaning process to clean it thoroughly.
